Preschool Curriculum
Preschool at Kids Kastle is all about having FUN while learning! We offer both a full and part day preschool program for children ages 3-5. Since 2002, we have offered the award winning preschool curriculum, Let's Begin with the Letter People®.
In combination with the NEW! Big Book Math and Big Book Science components, the Letter People curriculum emphasizes reading, literacy, math, science and social studies. Weekly themes throughout the year are integrated across many subject areas. These subject areas include the following components:
The Kids Kastle curriculum program is directed by our full time Education Coordinator, Andrea Wortman. Andrea researches teaching strategies, develops new lesson plans, and works with the teachers to effectively implement the curriculum. Our program has proven to be remarkably successful already - our commitment to continuous improvement motivates us to build from that success and continue to enhance the Kids Kastle curriculum.

ALL NEW Preschool Discovery Clubs!
Small group sessions that run for 8 weeks and included in your child's preschool tuition!
Fall 2009 Options Include:
- Kids Can Cook 8 week class on cooking techniques, nutrition, tools and fun. At the end of the class students will take home their very own recipe book.
- Music Makers 8 week class on musical expression, music and movement and world wide instruments.
- Beaker Buddies 8 week class on scientific discovery. Class will learn about phases of matter, mixtures, reactions, flight and more as they keep their very own discovery journal.
Classroom Learning Centers
Our classrooms are arranged into several different learning centers, providing children an opportunity to explore areas of interest on their own throughout their day with us. Learning Centers are updated throughout the year to reflect the different Letter People, classroom themes, seasons and interests of the students in the class:
- Dramatic play
- Blocks
- Library
- Science/sensory
- Table toys, puzzles, games
- Art
- Computer Lab
- Listening Center
- Writing Center
In addition, teachers plan additional hands on and interactive daily and weekly activities to include circle time, calendar time, weather, cooking, safety lessons, gross motor activities, special workshops, group activities and MORE!
